Directions

Stratford Road Car Park (main car park) The castle is well signposted, and less than two miles from junction 15 of the M40. Our address is Warwick Castle, Warwick, Warwickshire, CV34 6AH.  Or using what3words, the entrance to the main car park is ///acid.decks.speaks. Please note, that our limited tarmac spaces are reserved for guests with limited mobility and Knight's Village Accommodation guests, all other cars will be directed to our field car park. The Stratford Road and field car parks are situated on an incline to the main entrance, please allow 10-20 minutes for this walk.

Drop-Off Area: 

There is a drop-off area for those with specific needs. Please make yourself known to a member of our parking team on arrival, who can direct you. This option is especially useful for those visiting with very young children or mobility requirements. Please note, our drop-off area is also used as a coach turning bay. Please ensure you use this option when advised by our parking team and as a drop-off or pick-up point only.

Stables Car Park (Limited spaces available) Just off Castle Lane, limited express car parking next to the castle entrance. 1 Castle Ln, CV34 4QU, or using what3words, the entrance to the Stables car park is ///dull.direct.cigar

Car Park Locations: Many of our guests tell us our car parks are too far away from our main entrance. We agree! However, the castle and grounds are protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and are Grade I listed. We're committed to conservation and want to maintain the castle and grounds as they were originally designed. Further information is available in the sections below.

Cars, under 12 seater minibuses, motorbikes, and disabled parking:

We’d love to offer free parking, but unfortunately, our proximity to the town centre and train station means that spaces would otherwise be taken and would not be available to our visitors.

This car park is chargeable at the pay point as you leave the castle (via contactless payment only).

Just off Castle Lane. Limited express parking - next to the main castle entrance. This is a pay-and-display car park.

Disabled Bays: There are designated bays closer to the castle entrance for Blue Badge Holders in both the Stables Car Park and the Stratford Road Car Park. Before your visit, check our full Accessibility information, for helpful tips to enjoy your day. Charges apply for disabled bays.
Annual Passes: Selected Annual Passes come with free parking (in the Stratford Road or Field Car Park) and are subject to availability.  Please check the terms and conditions of your pass type before your visit. Parking in the Stables Car Park is not included and charges apply. 

All parking for all guests is subject to availability. You will be guided to a local Warwick town car park should our parking spaces be full.

Standard parking - 5 - 10 minute walk to the main castle entrance.

Coaches: No Charge

Motorhomes: £6.00

 

All coaches, minibuses, and motorhomes should be parked in the Stratford Road Car Park only. On arrival, your vehicle will be directed to a suitable area. Please turn off your engine whilst stationary. 

No spaces for vehicles of this size are available in our Stables Car Park. 

Warwick Railway Station is approximately one mile from the Castle. A direct service into London Marylebone (1 hour 45 minutes) or Birmingham Snow Hill is available. For information visit www.westmidlandsrailway.co.uk or www.chilternrailways.co.uk

Please allow for 15 minutes to walk from Warwick Railway Station to Warwick Castle.

Guests planning to travel by train to our attractions can visit National Rail to find their nearest train station and plan their journey.

Birmingham International Airport is our closest airport and is approximately 40-minutes by car.

There are a limited number of parking spaces close to the castle entrance and reserved for blue badge holders, in both our Stratford Road and Stables car parks.

Please note standard parking charges apply for daytime and most evening events.

 

Drop off Zone

We offer a drop-off area, close to the main castle entrance. This is particularly useful for those guests visiting the castle with mobility requirements. However we recognise that there are many reasons, such as hidden disability, why you might wish to take advantage of this service.

On arrival please speak to a member of our parking team who will be happy to direct you.
